MEC Anroux Marais launches the Tygerberg and Northern District’s Mask Activation, 21 Jul

Tomorrow, 21 July 2020, Minister Anroux Marais will launch the Tygerberg and Northern District’s Mask Activation, scheduled to take place every week in the area.

To kick off the activation, Minister Marais’ first stop will be to receive the generous donation of 1500 masks from Old Mutual at Riverton Primary School in Bishop Lavis. Minister will use the opportunity to meet the Principal, MathsMoms, YeBoneers and parents to motivate the importance of wearing masks. The Community Health Forum will be present and will receive masks for distribution.

Thereafter, Minister Marais will stop at the Delft Community Kitchen and meet the Delft Action Network and Neighbourhood Watch to encourage mask wearing and the 5 golden rules of hygiene.

Stop 3 will see Minister Marais join a meeting run by Live2Learn to train Principals and Bloekombos ECDs on masks and its importance in saving lives, at which each principal will receive a pack of masks.

The last stop will be in Bernadino Heights where Minister Marais will visit a MOD report back meeting and provide masks to coaches and community members from sport, arts and culture groups attending the feedback back session.
