Mandela Reconciliation peace walk at Freedom Park on 05 December 2019
Freedom Park, a national heritage destination and Voortrekker Monument will together host the Annual Reconciliation Peace Walk, in order, to pay tribute and to honour the legacy of the first democratically elected president Mr Nelson Mandela, who passed on the 05 December 2013.
Hundreds of walkers from various walks of life viz: Sports Bodies, Organisations, Government Departments, etc, are expected to converge at Freedom Park. The walk will commence at Freedom Park amphitheatre to Voortrekker Monument amphitheatre, through the Reconciliation Road and end at Freedom Park amphitheatre. The CEO of Freedom Park Ms Jane Mufamadi will conduct welcome remarks just before the walk.
