Limpopo Government launches Youth Learnership Programme, 18 Feb

The issue of unemployment has been a serious scourge within the society which affected many people, particularly the youth. In 2019, the Office of the Premier in Limpopo Province developed Youth Digital Database which encapsulated the details of the unemployment people of Limpopo. The undertaking is aimed at linking job seekers to potential employers guided by the qualifications they possess.

Therefore, it leaves no spat that 300 learners from Limpopo Provincial Government Digital Database are currently participating in the Gijima learnership at MSC Business College in Polokwane. This Learnership Program is supported by the Limpopo Office of the Premier and conducted in partnership with shared responsibilities between MSC Business College Polokwane and Gijima.

It introductory dealing with 4IR, Robotics and Coding; aligning their training with the Skills Development goals of the Limpopo Provincial Government and this is funded by the College.

The Premier of Limpopo Chupu Stanley Mathabatha will officially launch this learnership programme. He will be accompanied by Members of the Executive Committee, Captains of ICT Industry, CEOs, MICT, Gijima, Altron, Microsoft, CSIR, SADICO, 300 current Learnership Participants, Youth Formations and Disability Organisations.
