Limpopo First Lady celebrates Women’s Day
The First Lady of Limpopo Mme Maggie Mathabatha will celebrate Women’s Day with rural women and children. This celebration is part of the Women’s month activities held under the theme: “Women’s socio-economic rights and empowerment: building back better for women’s resilience”.
“It is our responsibility as women in leadership to lend a helping hand to the needy and restore their dignity. Government cannot do it alone, all sectors must come to the party to empower and uplift women and fight the scourge of gender-based violence and femicide at all levels”, says First Lady Mathabatha.
In partnership with the Gift of the Givers, the First Lady will distribute food parcels to more than 200 beneficiaries in an effort to combat hunger and alleviate their poverty stricken plight.
