The Department of Human Settlements will observe World Habitat Day in Matlosana Local Municipality on Monday, 3rd October 2022 under the theme “Mind the Gap, Leave No One and Place Behind” and launch Human Settlements Month.
The department and its stakeholders will embark on number of activities including a media tour to active and completed human settlements whilst examining the impact of human settlements develop in the lives of many families. Also there will be a handover of houses, title deeds and launch the greening challenge in Alabama Ext 5, an informal settlements upgrading project in the area.

Transport will be arranged from Mafikeng to Klerksdorp and back and from Brits via Rustenburg to Klerksdorp and back.
