KZN government and the Financial Development Institutions (DFIs), will tomorrow engage in a candid discussion about what needs to be done to assist SMMEs and cooperatives to adapt to the Fourth Industrial revolution.

“We have organized the engagement sothat we can tabulate what government and the DFIs must to do to empower SMME’s and cooperatives for the 4th Industrial Revolution,” said Mr Sihle Zikalala, the MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental affairs.

Mr Zikalala said the dialogue was a precursor to the first ever provincial Fourth Industrial Revolution Summit scheduled for the 25th and the 26th of this month.

The summit would discuss the impact of the fourth industrial revolution and its impact on KZN’s strategic sectors including agriculture, maritime, green economy, manufacturing, small enterprises, rural and township economies, he added.
