Defence hosts Armed Forces Day Music Concert in Cape Town, 18 Feb

An invitation to the SANDF Military band’s night of musical bliss at The Cape Town City Hall

The South African National Defence Force cordially invites you to Armed Forces Day Music Concert - a night of music - with your men and women in uniform, on stage belting out soothing sounds that would keep you enchanted throughout the evening.

This musical celebration featuring the SANDF’s finest musicians is traditionally hosted during the week-long Armed Forces Day celebrations and sees various bands and choirs from the country’s military join one another into a symphony of song.

The Combined Bands of the SANDF will serenade you with an impressive catalogue of local and world music bangers at the Cape Town City Hall. The bands will be belting out tunes from some of the celebrated hits that South African music lovers have made part of their musical staple.

This ensemble of bands includes the soulful National Ceremonial Guard, SA Army Band Western Cape, the vibrant SA Air Force Band, SA Navy band, the SA Military Health Services Band and colourful choirs oozing enchanted energy.

The evening’s music offering caters for a wide range of melodic tastes and includes amongst others: ethnic sounds, revolutionary songs, afrosoul beats, world music and contemporary pop and rhythm and blues tunes performed by the SANDF’s own musicians.
