Home Affairs to conduct Western Cape marriage policy consultation workshopsÂ
The Department of Home Affairs will hold a series of consultation workshops on the Green Paper on Marriages in South Africa across the country following the submission of public comments earlier this year.
The Green Paper on Marriages in South Africa was approved by Cabinet in April 2021 for public consultation and gazetted for public comments on 04 May 2021 with public comments invited until 30 June 2021.
Inputs received during consultations will be consolidated into a White Paper which will articulate government's position on the regulation of marriages in South Africa.
