South Africa sends condolences to the UAE following a search and rescue helicopter crash

The Government and people of South Africa wish to extend its sincere condolences to the Government and people of the United Arab Emirates  (UAE) following  a helicopter crash in Ras al-Khaimah in the North-Eastern region of the UAE on Saturday, 29 December 2018, which killed four crew members, including South African paramedic Mark Roxburgh, who were on a search and rescue mission.

The South African Government sends its sincere condolences to UAE's National Search and Rescue Centre, the crew's families and in particular to the family, friends and colleagues of Mr Mark Roxburgh.

The South African Consulate in Dubai is currently providing consular assistance to the family of Mr Roxburgh.
