Government hosts webinar on B-BBE compliance and regulations and Companies Act in Covid-19 pandemic, 24 Nov

The B-BBEE Commission, Companies Tribunal and Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) will be jointly hosting a webinar on 24 November 2021 to discuss matters pertaining to compliance and regulations on the B-BBEE Act (53 of 2003, as amended by 46 of 2013) as well as Companies Act (71 of 2008) in the context of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The webinar seeks to provide a platform for raising awareness on the importance of compliance and regulations amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic. The initiative is aimed at providing information to businesses that are faced with disputes, and challenges related to meeting obligations of compliance in relation to the B-BBEE Act as well as the Companies Act.

The webinar also seeks provide information on how the three entities of the Department of Trade Industry and Competition (the dtic), the B-BBEE Commission, Companies Tribunal and Companies and CIPC provide services that are aimed at improving compliance with the legislation.
