Gender Commission Presents Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plan (APP) before the Portfolio Committee on Women in the Presidency
The Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) led by its Chairperson Ms Lulama Nare will be making a presentation on its Strategic Plan 2018 – 2023 and the Annual Performance Plan (APP) for 2018/2019 before the Portfolio Committee on Women in the Presidency on the 24 April 2018. The purpose of this exercise is to share with Members of the Portfolio Committee, the organization’ Strategic Plan for the next five years and its APP for the financial year 2018/19 as well as to provide an opportunity to share with the committee on how it envisages to drive its mandate going forward.
It will also be an opportune moment to engage with Portfolio Committee members on numerous critical matters such as the strategic direction to be pursued in the future, a need for alignment of national policies such as the National Development Plan (NDP) with the constitutional imperatives to promote gender equality and fundamentals such as the addressing the untenable levels of gender based violence and other gender related matters.
