The annual Vita Basadi Awards have become synonymous with the GPL’s Women’s Month Commemoration programme; however, due to COVID19 regulations at that time, the awards were postponed to 10 December 2020.
The Honourable Speaker of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL); Ntombi Mekgwe, through the awards will recognize excellence and selflessness by women of Gauteng in various areas of work and/or acts of service in their communities.
The significance of these awards will be witnessed on Thursday afternoon, 10 December 2020 where women who were nominated by Gauteng citizens will be honoured for the influential role they play in their respective communities in different parts of Gauteng.
Members of the media are invited. Kindly note that there are limited seats available due to COVID19 level 1 regulations, therefore confirmation is imperative.
