Free State Smart Procurement World Enterprise & Supplier Development Expo
Governments and the private sector throughout the world spend the bulk of their goods and services as well as infrastructure budgets through procurement. This important aspects of any business can and should be utilised to enhance SMMEs development.
Towards strengthening support for small business in the Free State the Department of Economic Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (DESTEA), has partnered with Smart Procurement World to host a two-day Smart Procurement World Enterprise & Supplier Development (ESD) Expo in Bloemfontein.
The aim with this Expo is to enable small scale producers to enter formal supply chain and take advantage of economies of scale. The high impact Smart Procurement World Enterprise & Supplier Development (ESD) Expo is appropriately themed ‘Walk the talk: High Impact Procurement’.
The expo will also provide 100 exhibitors with opportunity to fast track access into the supply chain together with the opportunity to connect with like-minded entrepreneurial peers, develop new business partnerships and ignite their collective business power. More than 20 heads of supply chain or experts from the public and private sector will engage with the entrepreneurs.
The Expo will start with an interactive and learning and training labs on the first day, with the purpose to enhance the ability to plan and engage in more constructive conversations that can shape, to secure contracts. The second day will be a conference agenda with different speakers from this field of procurement engaging with delegates.
