Caledon River Museum to embark on outreach programme
The Free State Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation (DSACR) through its Provincial Museum Services will host the annual museums project and workshop as part of the 2019 Museums Week programme. This is aimed at fostering social transformation, nation building and social cohesion through maximizing public participation in museums.
The 2019 Museums Week programme will commence at the Caledon River Museum in Smithfield which depicts exhibitions such as Basotho Wars, the Bersheeba Mission Station and the highly acclaimed national heritage object – The Ou Gritjie.
