The Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) will continue with its countrywide Coastal Awareness Programme in East London, Eastern Cape, tomorrow, 19 December 2018 (now 20 December 2018). The programme will be hosted in partnership with the Buffalo City Municipality (BCM).
The awareness programme will run an exhibition, where issues such as, illegal limitations on public access to the beach, the use of vehicles in the coastal areas, marine pollution and careers available in the environment sector will be addressed. This will be followed by beach clean-ups at Gonubie Beach, Bonza Bay Beach, Nahoon Beach and Eastern Beach.
