Electoral Commission outlines determinations on objections against candidates nominated for National and Provincial Elections 2019

The Electoral Commission invites members of the media to a briefing. The Vice Chairperson, Commissioner Janet Love will formally announce findings on objections received against candidates nominated for the 2019 National and Provincial Elections (NPE).

In terms of electoral processes, and in accordance with the Election Timetable, members of the public may object to nominated candidates.

For the to 2019 NPE, over 10 000 candidates were nominated to contest the elections nationally and more than 8 000 were nominated to contest at provincial level.
