Minister Lindiwe Zulu and NAFCOC host Dialogue on state procurement from small businesses, 30 Apr

DSBD - NAFCOC Public-Private Dialogue on the 30% pronoucement of appropriate categories of state procurement from Small Businesses

Minister of Small Business Development Ms. Lindiwe Zulu, MEC for Economic Development & Tourism, Mr Sikhumbuzo Eric Kholwane and the National African Federated Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NAFCOC) will host a public private dialogue on the 30% pronouncement of appropriate categories of state procurement from small businesses on Tuesday the 30th of April 2019 in eMalahleni, Mpumalanga.

The Department of Small Business Development together with its agencies; the Small Enterprise Development (seda) and the Small Enterprise Finance Agency (sefa) has entered into a partnership agreement with the NAFCOC which is mooted to be one of the largest organisations that represents small and black owned enterprises in the country.

“It is imperative that this vital policy issue is discussed with SMME’s and communities at large to ensure that there is access to procurement opportunities in government and these small enterprises reach the pronouncement made in the State of the Nation Address of 2015, to contract 30% of appropriate categories of state procurement from small businesses, said Zulu.
