The IMC on COVID-19 Vaccines to hold consultations with various sectors of society
Deputy President David Mabuza, in his capacity as the Chairperson of Inter-Ministerial Committee on Vaccines will convene consultations with traditional leaders, inter-faith leaders and NEDLAC on government’s roll-out plan of the vaccination programme. The Deputy President will be joined by members of the Inter-Ministerial Committee in these virtual consultations on Thursday, 4 February 2021 between 10 and 14:00.
According to the terms of reference as set by the President, the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Vaccines should ensure effective collaboration with social partners, including the private sector and civil society, to support and enable the vaccine rollout. These consultations are aimed at ensuring broader mobilisation and support of all sectors of society for the national vaccination programme.
