Deputy Minister Pilane-Majake visits the community of Ga-Mothapo as part of Public Service Month

The Deputy Minister for the Public Service and Administration, Chana Pilane-Majake, will meet with the community of Ga-Mothapo village in Polokwane on Thursday, 27 September, in an Imbizo to interact with the local residents on issues of service delivery when interfacing with government. The community engagement forms part of the Public Service Month activities.

The annual Public Service Month, whose theme this year is: “Thuma Mina: taking public service to the people: we belong, we care, we serve.”
is identified by cabinet to reignite, instil and rebuild good ethics and professionalism in how public servants do their work, and to serve as an opportunity to highlight service delivery improvement initiatives across the public service.

The community outreach is part of the ‘Batho Pele - Putting People First’ programme aimed at responding to service delivery challenges experienced by the community of Ga-Mothapo.

This will ensure that citizens are given an opportunity to voice their concerns and engage government concerning issues that affect their daily lives. Focus will be based on how service offerings are done, and what experiences the public has when dealing with public servants at service delivery points.
