The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Njabulo Nzuza will on Tuesday, 15 October 2019, open the new birth registration office at the King Dinizulu Hospital in Durban.
The opening of the office forms part of the expansion of Home Affairs footprint by availing services at a convenience. President Cyril Ramaphosa has issued a directive to the Department of Home Affairs to ensure that members of the public have access to essential services such as birth registration. In terms of the legislation, birth must be registered within 30 days.
