Deputy Minister Jeffery to lead Dialogue with Stakeholders during the launch of National Action Plan to combat Racism, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance

The Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr John Jeffery, MP, will lead a discussion to launch the National Action Plan (NAP) to Combat Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance, which has now been approved by Cabinet.

This event is the culmination of an extensive process of the development of the NAP which included a widespread consultation phase with various stakeholders, leading up to the document’s approval by Cabinet on 27 February 2019.

With the involvement of various stakeholders and delegates from civil society including representatives from the media, discussions are expected to also delve into how the NAP will assist the nation to promote and achieve the right to equality while combating racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance.
