Deputy Minister Candith Mashego-Dlamini leads Imbizo Engagement Session in Flagstaff, 1 Jun

The Deputy Minister for Rural Development and Land Reform Candith Mashego-Dlamini will on Friday, 1 June 2018 host a Rural Women Stakeholder’s Engagement Imbizo Session with the rural Women/ Cooperatives of Ingquza Hill Local Municipality at Flagstaff.

The purpose of this session is to plan an integrated support system, capacity building and empowerment of rural women in agriculture through promoting awareness, by identifying training needs, policy awareness, and technologies essential to link rural women entrepreneurs to the market and to the world.

This rural women’s stakeholder’s engagement imbizo session will also provide a platform for local politicians and stakeholders from the villages of Flagstaff and Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape to interact with the department’s leadership and officials on service delivery progress, and challenges.

The Deputy Minister will also handover sewing material to 20 rural women cooperatives from Flagstaff and Port St Johns.

The Rural Women Stakeholder Engagement Session will take place as follows:
