The Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA) Mr Obed Bapela, will attend and address the Sitting of the National House of Traditional Leaders (NHTL) held in parliament on 16 October 2018.
The sitting of the NHTL will receive reports on the work done for the second quarter of the current financial year 2018/2019.
Deputy Minister Bapela will address issues of concern for the institution of traditional leadership which includes the following:
- Engagements with the Secretariat for the Remunation Commission in relation to the remuneration of traditional leaders.
- The Program of action for Traditional Affairs matters and the Agrarian Revolution
- The Africa Summit, dedicated in honouring the Legacy of President Nelson Mandela. The Summit will be sponsored by the Universal Peace Federation and the Royal House of Mandela that will take place in November 2018 in Cape Town.
- Preparation for the Land Summit of Traditional Leaders
