Employment and Labour opens labour centres in Eastern Cape, 28 to 29 Jun

Department of Employment and Labour postpones the opening of Mthatha labour centre until further notice

The Department of Employment and Labour wishes to profusely apologise that the official opening of Mthatha Labour Centre office by the Department of Employment and Labour Director-General (DG) Thobile Lamati that was scheduled for tomorrow (27 June 2022) has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. 

The new date for the official launch of the Mthatha labour centre will be communicated in due course. 

N.B – The official official launch on 28 June 2022 by Employment and Labour Minister, Thulas Nxesi of the Butterworth Labour Centre will continue as planned.  

The department’s Eastern Cape programme will conclude on 29 June 2022 with Employment and Labour Deputy Minister, Moloi launching the Youth Employment Centre in Mdantsane.
