Department of Basic Education and Game partner to deliver mobile kitchens
The Department of Basic Education will tomorrow, Friday 09 November 2018 bring smiles to the learners of Tlakukani Primary School in Mamelodi with the donation of a mobile kitchen by GAME as part of the ‘’Amalunchbox’’ campaign.
Through the partnership the Department and GAME have since 2009 supplied schools with converted shipping containers that have been adapted into fully equipped kitchens.
These mobile kitchens play an integral role in supporting and strengthening the delivery of the departments National School Nutrition Programme (NSNP), which sees more than 9 million learners receive a healthy nutritious meal at school daily.
