DAFF to host the 2nd National Extension and Advisory Services Awards Ceremony
The Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Mr Sfiso Buthelezi and MEC of the Department of Rural, Environment and Agricultural Development, Ms Manketsi Tlhape will host the 2nd National Extension and Advisory Services Awards (NEASA) in Mahikeng, North West on 20 November 2018.
The awards will promote and create awareness about the imperative role Extension and Advisory Services (EAS) play in the entire agricultural, forestry and fisheries’ development. It will further highlight the contribution of EAS to attain some of the targets contained in the National Development Plan of contributing significantly to the reduction of unemployment. Categories of the awards will be as follows:
Top performer in the category of Agricultural Advisors; Top performer in the category of Senior Agricultural Advisors; Top performer in the category of Specialist Agricultural Advisors; Top performer in the category of Supervisor; Top performer in the category of Support Services and Overall winner.
