Premier Alan Winde and Mayor Hill-Lewis welcome newest Law Enforcement Advancement Plan (LEAP) officers, 11 Aug

City & WCG take another step towards safer communities with new LEAP deployment

On Thursday, 11 August, the Premier of the Western Cape Alan Winde and Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis will officially welcome the newest Law Enforcement Advancement Plan (LEAP) officers attached to Bishop Lavis and surrounds.

LEAP is a joint training initiative between the City and Western Cape government to deploy more law enforcement officers in hotspot communities, with the aim of making residents feel safer.

The Mayor and Premier will be joined by Western Cape Minister for Community Safety Reagen Allen and Mayoral Committee Member for Safety Alderman JP Smith, who will help welcome the new deployment.

Time: 10:30 for 11:00 – 12:30 (media to arrive by 10:30 for access and set up at venue)
Venue: Bishop Lavis LEAP base, 40 Lavis Drive Parking is available behind the venue.
