Minister Sisulu to address the AGRISA water symposium
The Minister of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation Ms. Lindiwe Sisulu will address the AgriSA Symposium on Monday 26 August 2019 in Somerset West.
The National Water Resources Strategy 2 (NWRS2) acknowledges that agriculture is the largest single user of water in South Africa at 60%. It should also be acknowledged that the agricultural sector contributes immensely to the economic growth of the country.
The symposium comes in recognition of the impact of the recent drought that almost brought the sector to its knees.
