Eastern Cape Premier Ms Noxolo Kiviet will tomorrow 7 February 2013 address a women’s seminar organised by the Institute of Municipal Finance Officers in partnership with audit firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. The conference will start at 09h00 at the East London ICC and will provide an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women and identify challenges faced by women in the local sphere of government, which include gender parity issues.
Las year President Zuma announced that there has been a decrease in the number of representation of women in key leadership position in local government. He said this was despite the significant increase of women representation in National and provincial spheres of government.
