The Department of Tourism (DT), in collaboration with Culture, Arts, Tourism, Hospitality & Sport Sector Education and Training Authority (CATHSSETA) and North West Department of Economic Development, Environment, Conservation and Tourism will host the 2019 National Tourism Careers Expo (NTCE) from 19 to 21 September 2019 at Marang Hotel outside Phokeng in Rustenburg.
Since its inception in 2008, the North West Province will host the NTCE for the second time under the theme Broadening your horizons through tourism opportunities. About 5000 learners from all over the country are expected to descend in the province for the three-day event.
Designed to bridge the information gap between the industry and learners, the NTCE provides a platform for the sector to create awareness about tourism careers and prospects, whilst offering the youth and unemployed graduates an opportunity to interact with potential employers.
Deputy Minister of Tourism Mr. Fish Mahlalela, along with MEC of Economic Development Environment, Conservation and Tourism in the North West Province Ms. Keneetswe Mosenogi, and CATHSSETA CEO Ms. Keitumetse Lebaka, Mayors and the Royal Bafokeng Traditional Leadership will be part of the high delegation attending the three days event.
