Premier Mokgoro ready to deliver the State of the Province Address
The Premier of the North West Province, Prof Tebogo Job Mokgoro will on Friday, 28 June 2019, deliver the 6th Administration’s first State of the Province Address (SOPA) during the official Opening of the 6th North West Provincial Legislature (NWPL). The ceremony will be held at the NWPL Chamber in Mahikeng, and will start at 09h00.
Premier Mokgoro’s address is expected to highlight priority areas that are linked to the goals that the state aims to achieve by 2030, as set out in the recently delivered State of the Nation Address, and will pronounce efforts the provincial government will make towards realising these goals.
Themed “Together celebrating democracy, renewal and growth for a better South Africa”, the ceremony will be attended by guests and stakeholders including Members of the Provincial Legislature, members of the Provincial House of Traditional Leaders, Religious Leaders, private sector representatives, invited local community structures and the media.
Members of the media who have applied for accreditation for SOPA coverage, are expected to attend a compulsory media briefing which will be held on Thursday, 27 June at the North West Provincial Legislature Auditorium, at 15h00. Media Accreditation cards will be issued after the media briefing.
