Free State hosts youth expo
As part of a comprehensive Programme to commemorate the Youth Month and the 43rd anniversary of the 1976 Students Uprisings, which began in Soweto on June 16, 1976, the Free State Provincial Government has organised a two-day Youth Expo 0n 27-28 June 2019.
In line with this year’s theme: “25th Year of Democracy: A celebration of Youth Activism”, the young people are called upon to take part in the discussions ranging from economic participation, education, skills development, substance abuse, social cohesion, etc.
This platform is envisaged to afford the young people an opportunity to engage each other and come up with concrete solutions to their challenges.
Youth from various sectors are encouraged to come and heed President Cyril Ramaphosa ‘s call for them to carve a space for themselves and seize the future with both hands.
The Youth Expo will include exhibition of various services and products by government departments and entities such as National Youth Development Agency; small businesses, SETA’S, etc.
