Ikulumo KaMengameli u-Cyril Ramaphosa Emayelana Namagadango iSewula Afrika Ewathathele Umabhubhisa oyiNgogwana ye-Corona, 17 kuMgwengweni wee-2020 

MaSewula Afika wekhethu,

Solo sehlako isifesi, sebazii-80 412 abantu ekuqinisekiswe ukuthi sibangene isifesi eSewula Afrika. Kilababantu, abazii-44 331 babo – namkha abalinganiselwa ema-55% - sebapholile. Lokho-ke kutjho ukuthi njenganje bazii-34 407 abantu abasaphethwe sisifesi njenganje elizweni lekhethweli. Kodwana-ke njengobanyana sisazi, ngabe banengi khulu abantu abathethwe ngiyo i-COVID-19 kinalokhu ekungikho njenganje.  

Sathatha isiqunto kusakhanya, sisaveza ihloko isifesi eSewula Afrika, saqintelisa amakhambo wamazwe ngamazwe saqintelisa nemibuthano ngokumemezela kwethu ukuthi lobu buJamo beHlekelele yeliZweloke, ngemva kwalokho sabe samemezela imilayelo yokuqintelisa amakhambo elizweni loke ngomnqopho wokuriyadisa ukurhatjheka kwengogwana le.    

Ngokwenza njalo sasihlose ukwehlisa izinga lokuthelelana ngengogwana le kobanyana ihlelo lethu lezamaphilo lizokukghona ngcono ukutjheja nokwelapha abantu abanengi abazabe bafuna itjhejo.  

Ngenca yegadango elisimeleleko esalithatha ngesikhatheso – khulu khulu ngokubambisana kwezakhamuzi nombuso, ngokuncama nangokuzinikela kwesitjhaba -  siphumelele ukukuriyadisa ukurhatjheka kwengogwana i-COVID-19.  

Enye yeendlela zokulinganisa izinga lokurhatjheka kwengogwana ngilokhu okubizwa ngokuthi ‘kubuyelelwa kwesikhathi kabili’. Lokhu-ke kutjho inani lamalanga lokuzibuyelela kabili kwenani labantu abangenwe yingogwana sebaphelele boke.  

Eemvekeni ezintathu ngaphambi kokuthoma kokusebenza kwemibandela yokuqinteliswa kwamakhambo elizweni loke,  inani labantu abangenwa yingogwana i-COVID-19 belibuyeleleka kabili qobe ngamalanga amabili.   

NgesiGaba sesi-5 sokuqinteliswa kwamakhambo,ukubuyeleleka kabili kwesikhathi  kwande kwayokuba malanga ali-15, okutjho ukuthi ingogwana le ithatha isikhathi eside ukurhatjheka kunangaphambilini.  

NgesiGaba sesi-4 nangesiGaba sesi-3 ukubuyeleleka kwesikhathi kabili besele kulinganiselwa emalangeni ali-12.  

Ngesikhathi sokuqinteliswa kwamakhambo sisebenzise isikhatheso ukuzilungiselela nokuphakamisa ihlelo lethu lezamaphilo besithathe namagadango wezamaphilo womphakathi ukuphungula ukutheleleka kwabantu ngengogwana le.  

Umsebenzi wokuqinisa ihlelo lethu lezamaphilo – ekubalwa kiwo nokwakhiwa kwamaziko wokukhethelwa ngeqadi kwabantu angaphezu kwe-100, nokwandiswa kweendawo zabagula khulu nemibhede eembhedlela zesikhatjhana/ezibomakhamba ngendlwana nokungezelela abasebenzi bekoro yezamaphilo —  uragela phambili kizo zoke iimfunda zethu.   

Kodwana nanyana sisebenzise isikhathi sokuqinteliswa kwamakhambo ukuthoma umsebenzi wokuphungula ukuthelelana kwabantu ngengogwana nje, nokho usese kude khulu nokuphela lomsebenzi. Ngitjho nangemva kwekhulu lamalanga, solo sisese hlanu kwekuthomeni kwaso isifesi, begodu sisazokuba nathi iinyanga ezinengi ezizako, mhlambe iminyaka.  

Umsebenzi wokusebenza ngomabhubhisa oyingogwana ye-corona ufana nokugijima iphaliswano lemarathoni, hayi iphaliswano lomjubalalo, ngalokho-ke namagadango wethu esiwathathela isifesi kufuze akhambisane nalobobunjalo bezinto.
