Minister of Police to deliver a public lecture at Witwatersrand University on preventing, detecting and combating crime

The Minister of Police, Nathi Mthethwa will deliver a public lecture at the Graduate School of Public and Development Management, University of the Witwatersrand (WITS) tomorrow, Tuesday, 4 May 2010. The lecture is titled: “Keep South Africa safe and the world safe beyond 2010 " preventing, detecting and combating crime”.

The WITS governance series of public lectures is considered important in contributing to the creation of a revolving door between government, the state, academia, business leaders and the general public on key strategic matters of public, private and global concern. The series therefore provides an opportunity for elected leaders to interact and exchange strategic ideas and knowledge not only with academic community but also the general public, private sector and various key stakeholders within the South African societies.
