MEC Masuku to meet with Ward Councillors, Traditional Leaders, Traditional Councillors, Ward Committees and Community Development Workers in Nkangala District

The MEC for the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Mr Madala Masuku will meet all Ward Councillors, Traditional Leaders, Traditional Councillors, Ward Committees and Community Development Workers (CDWs) in the Nkangala District.

This meeting follows the recent ones held in the Gert Sibande District and Ehlanzeni District in the past two weeks. It will seek to address the tensions that seem to exist between Ward Councillors, Traditional Leaders, Traditional Councillors, Ward Committees and CDWs by forging and harmonising relations amongst these stakeholders for the purpose of improved service delivery. It will also enable the department to clarify the roles of all these stakeholders operating in the same space.

With all these stakeholders operating in the same space MEC Masuku has felt it important that they all come together and create a platform for them to engage on how they can complement each other, and their role in rural development.

Engagements in Gert Sibande and Ehlanzeni were very positive and the department believes that the engagements in Nkangala will also be positive in terms of building and strengthening the working relations amongst these stakeholders.

The media is invited to join MEC Masuku in his engagement with Ward Councillors, Traditional Leaders, Traditional Councillors, Ward Committees and CDWs scheduled as follows:
