The MEC for Rural Development and Agrarian Zoleka Capa cordially invites members of the inauguration of the Eastern Cape Rural Development Agency (ECRDA) board in gala dinner scheduled to take place at the East London International Convention Centre on November 14.
The ECRDA was formed by amalgamating Eastern Cape Rural Finance Corporation (ERFC) - which was supporting farmers through its Uvimba and Vulithuba schemes – and Asigisa-EC that used to plough for communal farmers.
Following an advertisement which called for nomination of persons with the background of rural development, agriculture, economic development, issues of traditional affairs and finance in newspapers, the Hon MEC has duly nominated the board.
Due to deadline pressures of different media house, the Hon MEC and some board members will be able to address the media on certain issues in a media briefing that will be held before the start of the event.
