The launch of Emalahleni career guidance and information communication technology (ICT) resource centre

Mpumalanga Department of Education and the national Department Mineral Resources together with MTN, Anglo American, Vodacom and Eskom will launch the Emalahleni Career Guidance and information communication technology (ICT) resource centre.

The centre came to existence through partnerships with MTN, Anglo American, Vodacom and Eskom. The companies are committed in ensuring that South Africans are able to participate in the knowledge economy.

President Jacob Zuma has emphasised the importance of science, technology and ICT for social and economic development. It is in this context that the centre has been established to incorporate a fully functional interactive science centre, an effective career guidance centre and a high tech ICT resource centre.

The centre will serve the school communities and out of school youth in the greater Emalahleni area in the Nkangala region.

The launch is scheduled as follows:
