The KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Finance, Ms. Ina Cronjé, will interact and listen to the views of the business sector and communities of uKhahlamba Municipality on what they would like to see in the next year (2013/14) budget allocations.
This consultation marks the first pre-budget road show for the next financial year. The aim is to inform the public about the government plans to use allocated budget to alleviate poverty in the province. It is also in line with the provincial government’s initiative to encourage public participation in the provincial budget allocations and to promote transparency as well as encouraging the culture of saving.
uKhahlamba Municipality Mayor, Councillor David Thulani Sibeko, will accompany the MEC during this pre-budget road show, which will be held under the theme “Spending your money wisely”.
