Deputy Minister of Transport, MP,Mr Jeremy Cronin will deliver an opening address at the Railway and Harbours Conference and Exhibition 2011.

In accepting the invitation to address this conference Deputy Minister of Transport, Mr Jeremy Cronin said he will be sharing with the delegates that "commuter rail services have been experiencing continuous decline, primarily due to the poor availability of rolling stock. As a result, the state of the rolling stock is deteriorating faster than the rate of overhauls and upgrade. Now, establishing a local manufacturing base for the new rolling stock in the country will have the benefit of creating a substantial number of local jobs".
