110 of 1998

The National Sport and Recreation Act 110 of 1998 intends:

to provide for the promotion and development of sport and recreation and the co-ordination of the relationships between the Sports Commission, national and recreation federations and other agencies;
to provide for measures aimed at correcting imbalances in sport and recreation;
to promote equity and democracy in sport and recreation;
to provide for dispute resolution mechanisms in sport and recreation;
to empower the Minister to make regulations; and
to provide for matters connected therewith.
