Following the release of the state Response and Protection of the girls from being victims of Ukuthwala, The Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) is engaging with men from three different municipalities which are Umzimkhulu, Mkhambathini and Nongoma in the province of KwaZulu-Natal.
The purpose of these dialogues is:
- Sharing experiences on promoting a violent free society
- Establishment of local or ward based men’s forums
- Develop strategies to reduce or uproot violence against women and children
- Encourage men to report cases of gender based violence.
