World Economic Forum 2016

20 - 23 January

The World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting brings together world leaders from business, government, international organisations, academia and civil society in Davos to discuss the global economy.

WEF is an independent, international organisation whose aim is to contribute to more positive outcomes in the world by engaging business, political leaders, academia and other leaders of society to inform and shape the global, regional and industry agendas. The 2016 meeting will provide an important platform for global leaders to renew commitment to a sustainable path of growth and development.

The theme for the WEF Davos 2016 is “Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution”.  Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution is now a global imperative. This theme drives the design of the sessions, task forces and private meetings at the Annual Meeting 2016. The South African theme for the meeting is “South Africa is open for Business”.
