Transport Deputy Minister takes road safety to commuters and motorists in Tshwane CBD

In anticipation of increased traffic and commuter volumes due to the coming “long weekend” from Thursday the 27th April (Freedom Day) and including Monday the 1st of May 2017 (International Workers’ Day), Transport Deputy Minister, Ms. Sindisiwe Chikunga will interact with commuters and motorists to further drive the message of road safety.

Deputy Minister Chikunga together with road transport entities and senior Departmental officials will engage with motorists and commuters at the Bosman train station and vicinity in the Pretoria Central Business District.

The Deputy Minister’s interaction with commuters and motorists follows the recent release of the Easter weekend figures regarding crashes and fatalities by Transport Minister Mr. Joe Maswanganyi.

Members of the media are invited to join the Deputy Minister during this engagement. Traffic and commuter levels are expected to be at peak as many people will be taking advantage of the break.
