Government is pleased with the progress made in preparation for the Special Official Funeral of the Former Premier of the Eastern Cape and Minister for Sport and Recreation, Reverend Makhenkesi Stofile.
Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver the eulogy at the funeral, replacing President Jacob Zuma. President Jacob Zuma has declared a Special Official Funeral for the former Minister of Sport and Recreation, the late Reverend Arnold Makhenkesi Stofile, who passed on Monday, 16 August 2016 at his home in Alice, in the Eastern Cape Province.
The burial of Reverend Stofile will take place on Thursday, 25 August 2016 at Fort Hare University in Alice.
Members of the media who have applied for accreditation are advised to collect accreditation cards as follows:

There will be a shuttle service from East London airport to ferry moaners to the funeral service in Alice.
