State Security welcomes appointment of Dr Dintwe as new Inspector General of Intelligence

The Ministry of State Security welcomes the announcement by the Presidency of the appointment of Dr Dintwe as the new Inspector General of Intelligence.

Dr Dintwe has been appointed on a 5 year contract effective 15 March 2017.

Welcoming the news, State Security Minister David Mahlobo said "the Inspector General plays a significant role in the balance and checks and exercising oversight over the important work that we do. On behalf of the intelligence community, we welcome his appointment and look forward to working with him and his office".

The Minister also expressed his gratitude to Parliament for their role in giving effect to this appoint as well as the Presidency for appointment.
