Signing ceremony of a memorandum of agreement with sixteen communities

The Chief Land Claims Commissioner and the CEO of Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife invites members of the media to a historic signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the Department of Economic Development in KwaZulu-Natal, the Commission on Restitution of Land Rights, Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife with sixteen land claimants’ communities.

The Hlabisa-Mpukunyoni, Swamp, Zulu and Buthelezi, Mhlaba/Ximba, Dukuduku, Osuthu, Myeni-Nsinde, Tembe, Mthonjaneni, Maphelane, Emasosheni, Kwa Dushu, Rest, Umbumbazi, Umnyengelezi, Mthonjaneni and Clayborn earlier lodged their conservation land claims and their properties are managed by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife.

The signing of the memorandum of Agreement forms part of the implementation of the 7th people and parks resolutions, to ensure beneficiation for communities and at the same time strengthening relationships between management authorities.  

The signing ceremony is scheduled as follows:
