Premier’s Coordinating Council to assess progress in delivery of services

The Bokone-Bophirima Premier’s Coordinating Council (BBPCC) will next week hold its quarterly meeting to evaluate the extent to which services are being provided to the people of Bokone- Bophirima through amongst other programmes, the municipalities’ Back-to-Basics, Shared Services model and Setsokotsane.

With regards to the province’s strategy to have a deliberate focus on the development of its Villages, Townships and Small Dorpies (VTSDs), the BBPCC will reflect on progress made in spending 70% of the province’s total budget towards these areas, discuss the strategy to roll-out VTSD Entrepreneurship Outreach, as well as the extent to which the province has been able to integrate the already developed VTSD plans with the municipalities’ IDPs.

Moreover, the BBPCC will receive presentations from the Auditor General and the Special Investigations Unit respectively.

Chaired by Premier Supra Mahumapelo of Bokone-Bophirima Province, the BBPCC is attended by the Members of Executive Council, Executive Mayors and Mayors, Heads of Department, Municipal Managers, Chief Financial Officers and Chief Executive Officers of State Owned Entities in the province.

Members of the Media interested in covering the outcome of the BBPCC are invited for interviews which will be conducted at 13h30 at the venue.
