Government Communications on Print Media Transformation Colloquium

Role players from government, civil society, business, academics and media owners have been invited to the event. The discussions will include diversity of content and media ownership in a free and democratic society. It will also focus on safeguarding freedom of information and opinion.

“We are expecting robust and lively debate as all stakeholders will have an opportunity to join in open discussions on how we can work together to bring about real transformation in his critical sector of our society, ” said GCIS Acting Director- General Donald Liphoko.

The colloquium will strengthen and enhance partnerships to further shape our media landscape. Participants will have the opportunity to advise government on issues that should be further interrogated to ensure effective change.

The interactions of the Print Media Transformation Colloquium will inform and strengthen areas of the concept document that will be later released for public consultation.
