Premier David Makhura opens upgraded Temba Driving License Testing Centre, 25 May

Premier Makhura to officially open upgraded Temba DLTC

As part of Provincial Government’s commitment to bring services to the people, Gauteng Premier David Makhura, together with MEC for Roads and Transport Ismail Vadi, will on Thursday, 25 May 2017, officially open the upgraded Temba Driver License Testing Centre (DLTC) in Hammanskraal, Tshwane.

The R35 million project involved upgrading the centre to a Grade A facility consisting of both a DLTC as well as a Motor Vehicle Registering Authority (MVRA).

The centre boasts amongst others, 14 Live Capturing Units for eye testing and Computer Learner License Testing Units for learner drivers testing. The use of new technology will combat possible fraud or corruption during the licence testing process.

Added to these interventions, CCTV cameras have been installed to monitor activities in and around the DLTC.

The newly renovated centre is anticipated to reduce waiting time for all applicants, increase capacity for learners’ license applicants as well as reduce backlogs. Furthermore, the test track has been upgraded to test up to 12 vehicles at the same time.

Details of the event are as follows:

Date: 25 May 2017
Venue: Temba DLTC, 91 Makapanstad Road, Hammanskraal
Time: 15h00
