Police on community outreach programmes in Limpopo

SAPS Corporate Communication in conjunction with Social Crime Prevention, CPF and other stakeholders, have embarked on the outreach programmes in all the Clusters throughout the Province to address crimes such as sexual offences, property and contact crimes.

In Motetema outside Groblesdal, Manapsane Montsoshaboshego Primary School was visited and school uniforms and sanitary goods were donated to the needy children in partnership with Ephraim Mogale Local Municipality, Bapedi Sanitation and Mphela & Associates Attorney's.

This programme was initiated by the Social Crime prevention members after they visited schools previously and found that learners were in need of school uniforms. More than 20 learners benefited from this initiative.

Meanwhile in the Westernburg Policing area outside Polokwane, the outreach programme was taken to Westenburg Secondary School and learners were addressed on sexual related offences. "Share if you Care" project donated sanitary towels to learners

The speakers included former Polokwane Mayor Mr Greaver and the Polokwane Circuit manager Ms Ratale.
